Radiographs (X-Rays) are a necessary part of your child’s dental diagnostic process. Radiographs allow dentists to diagnose and treat conditions in bone and cavities between teeth that may not be detected during a clinical examination. They are also important in situations where there has been trauma to the teeth and/or bone and in planning orthodontic treatment. At Eagle Crest Pediatric Dentistry, we use the latest advances in dental technology including digital radiography, which reduces radiation exposure by up to 90%. We also use paperless technology software that allows us to receive x-ray films via email from a referring dentist and thus minimize re-exposure.
